Types of Gifts

Cash gifts are the simplest way to support the Ethnic Studies Department. This can be currency, personal check, credit card authorization, money order, or bank draft made payable to the Colorado State University Foundation.

Other ways to support us are:

  • Gifts of Stocks and Securities often benefit the contributor and the College. Typically, the full-market value of the property is deductible, and you may not need to pay capital-gains taxes on the app reciated portion.
  • Planned Gifts of bequests, life insurance, charitable gift annuities, or trusts are valuable and important ways to show support of the Ethnic Studies Department.
  • Gifts-In-Kind are non-cash assets or personal property that is transferred for the benefit of the Center.
  • Real Estate gifts may be made as either an outright or a planned gift.
